- A brand new book, spine uncracked and waiting to be well-loved
- The jubilant laughter of children living in the moment
- A sudden scare
- Sitting in the shade on a warm, sunny afternoon
- Running like the wind itself
- Picnics in the park
- The caress of a loved one when you need it most
- Breakfast in bed
- An old book, pages scented with the musk of time
- A thrilling amusement park ride
- Experiencing a beautiful sunset
- A brilliant song that beats in time with your soul
- Learning new things
- A cool glass of water when your throat is parched
- Driving with the windows down and the radio turned up
- A luxurious stretch after a good night's sleep
These are a few of MY favorite things.

I love new-old books. Books printed 30 years ago or more, that haven't been touched much — if you're lucky to find those in a library or used bookstore — they just smell wonderful.
